Lysander Herndl was born on November 1st, 2007 in Graz, listens absolutely and started at the age of 3½ years Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory playing with Herbert Lang contrabass. In order to be able to develop Lysander switched to Peter Petrak's private lessons in 2014 and became Ernst's highly gifted class in 2017 Weissensteiner from the University of Art in Graz. The double bass player and also the composer visits this Music high school Dreihackengasse. With his first composition “The Old Chicken”, he won the Oskar Rieding competition in Celje (composers play their own work) a prize.
